November 11th, 2007: The Communicator traveled to Philadelphia for the NSPA/JEA journalism conference. The paper received 7th place in the nation for the Newsmagazine category, and the following students won individual on-site contest awards:
Dylan Cinti -- Honorable Mention, Newswriting
Drew Stapleton -- Excellent, Sports Writing
Quinn Burrell -- Superior, Editorial Cartooning
